Activities Nitte International School

NIS has signed an MOU with T.I.M.E Institute for integrated coaching for JEE & NEET Preparation. The students from class XI have opted for these integrated programmes.

NIS got associated with Taekwondo with association of Karnataka around 200 students have registered for the training.

A venture of Times of India 'NIE' (News Paper in Education) has been introduced to the students of NIS. A large number of students have opted for it.

IAIS (International Assessment for Indian School) exam will be held on 24th August and 31st August 2013 which is conducted by MacMillan Education. A field trip of kindergarten section was taken to Sahakar Nagar childrens park and Ganesha Temple. Hostel students were taken to orion & Mantri Mall Bangalore.


The co-curricular activities include seminars extempore debate, speech, science exhibitions, quiz, field trip projects etc.,

Cleanliness Week

Cleanliness week was celebrated from 2nd October to 10th October 2014 in our school. Children participated very enthusiastically in the cleaning activities. Children were given a small talk on the ‘Importance of Cleanliness’ and how each and every citizen has to play an active role in maintaining ‘Swatch Bharat’. To stress the importance of Cleanliness a debate competition was conducted. A poster making competition and Greeting Card Competition was also conducted in the school.

NITTE International school extra curricular activities

NIS strongly believes and promotes the idea of holistic development of its students. It is our endeavour to ensure that each student not only excel in academics but also in other areas.

All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. In the light of the same we have planned the curriculum with the number of activities, filled with fun and frolic. We are sure that this would make the process of learning much more interesting.

In general every student will be a part of all the routine extra curricular activities. However, to explore the hidden talent of each student and to refine it to perfection. NIS has planned the following activities during the current session.

NITTE International school extra curricular activitiesParents are requested to select one of the above activities for their wards. They are keeping in mind that the interest of the child be given utmost priority while doing so. The professionals for each hobby visit the school on particular days and train the students for the same.

Science Exhibition -4th March 2017

NITTE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL enthusiastically conducted the Exhibition “DREAMSPHERE” on 4th march 2017. It focused on ingraining a scientific and creative attitude in our young students to make them comprehend the interdependence of science, technology and society by a hands on experience. The Exhibition sought to engage children and teachers to synergise experiences and motivate each other to design and develop something novel. Hundreds of displays dotted several sections of school with participation ranging from classes I – XII.
The Exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. N.R. SHETTY The Chairman of NITTE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL.

SCIENCE EXHIBITION :
The event saw young enthusiastic students who showcased their talent and creativity by making various working models which comprised a model of “JCB”- Based on hydraulic pressure, preparation of LPG using water and petrol, a model of Seismography to measure the magnitude of earth quake . The exhibits that captured the attention of everyone was the amazing tricks done with “DRY ICE”, one of the trick was “THE SIMULATION MODEL OF TORNADO “and “HOLOGRAM “which showed the various figures by reflection of light.

A miniature model of LDR based city and miniature THERMAL POWER PLANT using steam energy to generate electricity was also created by the students. Another highlight was “THE GRASS CUTTER” which was made with DC Motor and 7 o’clock blade.

The working models which stole the show were “INFINITY WELL “, “AUTOPILOT”, ‘ROBOT WALKER”, “CENTRIFUGE MACHINE”, “ENERGY METER”, “ CO2 FIRE EXTINGUISHER, “MARS ORBITAL MACHINE”,’SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT”,”GREEN HOUSE EFFECT”, “SUBMARINE ELECTROLYSIS OF WATER”, “ELECTRIC PEN”. Rain Water Harvesting, Generator, ATM Machine, Chocolate Machine, Electric Train, Electroplating, Water Heater, Borewell Rescue System, Unseen Piston, Vaccum Cleaner, Paraxinoscope, Solar Panel Car, Water Pump, Manometer etc.

MATHEMATICS EXHIBITION :
The main focus of the Exhibition was the practical application of Mathematics. Visitors also got the opportunity to view the FIBONACCI GAUGE-based on golden ratio,ELLIPSE properties in mathematics related to medical field,moving quadrilateral,CLINOMETER- to measure the height of buildings with the help of Trignometric ratios, different geometric patterns, properties of circle and its area, angle some property of triangle and T-Ratios.

Social science exhibition: In the field of social science the children showcased the various initiatives taken by our Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi related to Emerging India viz Swatch Bharat,Make in india, Skill development, Demonetisation, Cashless economy, Mangal Mars mission.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE :
In the English language section the children created an insight into “THE WORLD OF LITERATURE”. They displayed the writings of famous poets and writers for eg. William Shakespeare, William Wordsworth by creating various models. The notable presentation was “A CASTLE “ representing Victorian Age which displayed stories of “Grimme Brothers” and various other fictional characters. The poets “Robert Frost”, “Christina Rossetti”, “John Keats”, “P>B>Shelley were depicted in the form of water falls. HINDI LANGUAGE :
In the Hindi language section the famous Personalities of Hindi literature were depicted in the form of a model. Charts depicting the evolvement of Hindi Literature, Proverbs, Sanskrit Shlokas were also displayed. Various models depicting the importance of Girls education, Digital India, Gandhi Ashram. Kashmir – A paradise on earth were displayed beautifully.

KANNADA LANGUAGE:
In the Kannada Section the simplicity and beauty of Karnataka was displayed through various models e.g.Vidhan Soudha, Gol Gumbaj, High Court, International Airport, Bird Sanctuary, Hampi, Techno Park, Bandipur, Shravana Belagola, Golden Temple. The rich heritage of Karnataka was depicted through fabulous models of Murudeshwar Temple, Chamundi Hills, Dussehra etc.

The visit to this section filled everyone with a sense of pride for being part of a culture so rich and vibrant. Overall the exhibition was a grand success. All the working models in each section and activities were highly appreciated by the visitors as amply received in remarks left behind.
